Review: twotara’s Gender Neutral Baby Gifts

Two words for a new product I got the chance to review, “Too Cute!”. Being a new grandmother to a new grandbaby boy I was super excited to try the newborn footie by Twotara

Twotara has come out with a revolutionary idea in the baby gift giving field that will save those of us who previously would have had to buy items in yellow or green only. The reversible item is made of 100% knit cotton, blue on one side and pink on the other!  This elimates the need for the new parent to return the unsightly green or yellow items they get when the gender is a surprise to those attending the baby shower.

The first thing I noticed when checking out the item is the intensive detail to the quality of the item. The garment and hat are well made and the feel alone is that of quality, there were no hanging strings or missed seams. The snap clasps were very easy to push together unlike some of the ones on the current market garments and were strong enough to not come undone when I was placing it on my grandson.

The garment came in a 0-3 months size, my grandson weighs 7 pounds 5 ounces and is 19.5 inches long and when I placed him in the outfit other than trying to continually get his feet out, the item fit really well.  The design of stripes and circles is one that would fit any boy or girl’s personality with simplicity yet adorable. My favorite part of the outfit is the little pockets on their bums that call attention to the detail of the manufacturers to the garment. The pockets are sewn on sturdy and are functional.

The beanie or hat that came with it was quite large for his current head as you can see in the pictures but it is still a great item as the same intensive sewing detail was taken with the hat as was the outfit. The only downside currently to the item I reviewed is that we are in July and the garment is quite thick with it being reversible and the long sleeves make it excessively hot for here in the valley during the day. However with the growing room that it allows being ranged from 0-3 months it will allow him to wear it in September when the weather starts to turn cool.

Twotara has a newborn romper that would work better for mom’s having a baby in the summer months or even the newborn gowns as these would be great for sleeping in when the air conditioning is going but the baby still needs to be warm. Overall twotara is a great idea that will free those of us attendee’s from the heart wrenching duty of buying another yellow or green item ever. You can see their selection of items on their website.
