Review/Giveaway: Carson-Dellosa | Summer Bridge Activities (ends 7/13) US/Can

Carson-Dellosa Publishing has remained the leading supplementary educational solutions provider for both teachers and parent around the world for over 35 years. The company was founded by two teachers and continues to offer a wide variety of high-quality products created by teachers to enhance a child’s learning potential at school and at home.

Carson-Dellosa provides parents, teachers and children the best possible educational materials. They offer interactive digital resources, supplemental books (for math, science, social studies, language arts, and early childhood), decorations for the classroom (or home), charts, games and manipulatives. They have materials for prekindergarten through the eighth grade.

Summer Bridge Activities is the original workbook series developed to help parents support their children academically during the summer months and continues to be the series that teachers recommend most. They carry workbooks for grades PreK-8. We received the ‘Bridging Grades Third to Fourth." workbook. There are three sections that correspond to the three months of traditional summer vacation. The activities in this book were designed to review the skills that my child mastered in third grade, preview the skills that she will learn in fourth grade. There are stickers, flash cards and an award certificate that are also included. The pages are amazingly easy to tear out in case you want to make copies or not hand your child the entire book. Personally, I like to create daily packets of work.

My daughter absolutely loves to learn and before the school year is even out, she is already asking me when we are going to start our home summer school. We got kind of a late start this summer. That is okay though because she would prefer to do as much work in one day as possible. She is quite the over achiever. She absolutely loves the Summer Bridge Activities workbook. I love it because there is also an answer key in the back for me!

This summer was a little different for us. My almost three year old son wants to join in on the school fun too. So there were some things I received that I could utilize for him; however, I went and bought some flashcards and toddler activity books from the dollar store just to keep him satisfied while she was doing her school work.

We also received a few extra goodies. There was a package of "Out of This World" Incentive Charts. They both love these. There were 30 charts and 630 stickers. Each time they fill up a chart, they get a small prize. The earn stickers for completing assignments and good behavior during our school time. My son loved them because he has an obsession with starts. He calls them "up above the world so high."

Even though, we are just a small class of two here, my son loved to wear a Sea Life Name Tag every day. He thinks that is pretty neat. He usually ends up sticking them somewhere he probably shouldn’t – but kids will be kids. They also love the Sun Notepad we received. My little guy thought that was his ‘homework’ (that is what he calls it). My daughter loved it for showing her work. They make me feel cool too (you know, like a teacher).

One product I had never seen before were the Summer Bridge Activities Activity Cards. They were so neat! There are so many of them. You don’t have to worry about losing them because they are all held together by a corner grommet. I love that because they lose so much stuff. There are two decks with a total of 158 cards that focus on activities like jokes, math, fun facts, language arts, word play, picture puzzles and mind-bogglers. The answers are even conveniently found on the back of the cards. My daughter LOVES these! She could do them over and over.

Overall, my kids love the products we received for their summer school journey. I love that the assignments refreshes her brain on things she already learned last year in third grade at the same time it’s challenging her to learn new things and prepare for fourth grade. While looking at their website and seeing all their other amazing products, I want to be a teacher or home school my children. Carson-Dellosa makes learning fun!

You can buy Carson-Dellosa and Summer Bridge Activities on their website at affordable prices. You can also enter to win the same package I received (with the grade selection of your choice). This is an amazing prize package and I’m sure every kid will have fun learning with these great tools and fun rewards!
