Gutzy Gear Review Party! Back to School Just Got More Fun!

Gutzy Gear is a collection of hundreds of patches (aka "Gutzies"). These Gutzies can be velcroed to various things such as backpack straps, visors, hats, collector books, roll-up door hangers and anything else you might want to velcro them to. With so many to choose from, Gutzy Gear encourages kids to trade with each other, build lasting friendships and create a positive environment with high self-esteem.

We had a Gutzy Gear party with my daughter’s Girl Scout troop! It was somewhat impromptu; however, it was the one place where I could get the most ‘back to school’ action in one party. They got to choose from quite a few Gutzies and attached them to their straps. Unfortunately, they didn’t have their backpacks on them so I am just envisioning magnificence!

After eating their yummy breadsticks, they gathered around the tables to choose their Gutzies. To be fair, we went around in a circle for them to choose their Gutzies and then they could swap later if they changed their minds. They are all the same age and attend the same school, so that won’t be hard. A few of the girls couldn’t make it but I made sure to get them some straps and Gutzies of their own.

Through it all, I’m pretty sure my little guy (he’s barely going to be three) was the most excited of all. He LOVES his straps. They have been on his Elmo backpack ever since he got them. He loved picking out a few Gutzies and he applied them pretty darn good for such a little guy! Doesn’t he look very proud?

Gutzy Gear also has a fun online community. You can sign up for an account, choose the Gutzies you have, the Gutzies you want, check out your friend’s Gutzy collection and even send them eCards! You can earn virtual Gutzies. There is a downloads section where you can download posters (even posters of the whole Gutzies collections). Make sure you ‘like’ Gutzy Gear on Facebook and follow them on Twitter to stay up on the latest news and special offers!

I love the paw print one. This looks like a great way to help keep the kid’s backpacks straight at school!
