Figit Friends are little rubber like robots. Don’t let their size fool you. Fijit Friends can have a conversation with you, tell you jokes and dance {maybe} better than you can. They will even bust out with different moves with the different songs you play for them. If you don’t have music, that’s okay! They come equipped with their own. Fijit Friends can recognize and respond to your voice making it easier for the conversation to flow!
It gets better. The Figit Friends have some ‘new’ Friends, Yippits. They dance, play games, “sing” songs, perform trick and respond to commands. The more you nurture and play with your Yippit, the better she will respond and with more consistency. You can command the Yippits by clapping. There are various commands for the number of claps. This allows the Yippit to respond during the different modes of play: dancing, training and games.
One clap will make her sit. Two claps will have her spinning in circles. Three claps will get her singing and dancing. Four claps will make her beg and five claps will have her doing pushups! After the Yippit responds to your command successfully, you can push a button and that rewards her for a job well done.
Yippits have animated faces with light-up eyes and a mouth. Her legs move almost lifelike. She can bark, dance, growl and sing. She is able to perform three songs, including a version of the Fijit Friends® theme, “I Love to Dance.” If you have more than one Fijit Friends, you can put them together for a duet. You can also unlock exclusive content that is already programmed into your Fijit Friends with a Yippit.
For our review, we received one of the original Fijit Friends, Logan and a Yippit, Blue Scooch. When we first received them, I wasn’t aware of everything these little guys were capable of.
Once I found the "Try Me" buttons, I pushed them. After that, I was just as excited to get them out of the box as the kids were. Anything that combines technology with toys sparks my interest. I truly believe we are in a technology driven world that is only going to increase over time. I think it’s very important for children to be somewhat tech savvy. Don’t get me wrong, they still play with crafts, like to color and play outside. I’m just saying, with balance, I think it definitely has its benefits.
When my daughter first starting getting to know Logan, she was a little shy I think. Then she realized how much Logan can do. She really likes listening to the jokes it tells and watching it dance (both to her tunes and its own). She enjoys holding a conversation with Logan; however, it was getting a little noisy in the house and the noise was conflicting with their words.
Yes, this is where the noise was coming from. One might think my daughter would have been all over both of them. Nope. Even though they get them together for interaction, they really took a liking to each one. It’s kind of nice. She has Logan, he has Scooch and they come together when they want more action. It keeps them busy. My son loves to watch Scooch dance!
I feel that it is important for children to have interactive toys. It allows them to build their speech and language skills while having fun. It can also give them the confidence to be more comfortable in social situations. Having a toy like the Fijit Friends that are technologically interactive allows the child to have stimulation without the draining of watching television or playing video games and things of that nature.
This was so funny! My son loved rocking out with the Blue Scooch Yippit. He had some crazy fun. You can even hear my daughter in the background talking to Logan (the other Fijit Friend). Enjoy the video!
I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Mattel Fijit Friends. I received product samples to facilitate my review.
