October 25th is World Pasta Day! Earlier this month, was National Pasta Day (October 17th). There’s no better way to celebrate than to make some pasta using Classico. It doesn’t really need to World or National Pasta Day to make pasta. We make pasta at least once a week. We love to pair our noodles with all the delicious flavors of pasta sauces that Classico produces.

Classico provided me with this amazing pasta kit to come up with our creation in celebration of National Pasta Day – except we missed it. So, I went with the next best thing… World Pasta Day! In my kit was a Bialetti Pasta Pot. I was very excited about this pasta pot because I don’t have one. It also included some sturdy tongs, a cheese grater, a jar of limited edition Classico sauce and a couple of coupons for more sauce.

For the sake of time, we went with a simple pasta dish tonight. We used the Limited Edition Seasonal Selections Creamy Spinach & Parmesan sauce along with some whole wheat penne pasta noodles. Then we cooked some ground hamburger meat and tossed it in the pot. We served it with wheat french garlic bread. It was simple and so delicious!

My pictures definitely do not do such a simple meal justice. We try to eat whole wheat pasta when possible. With all the carbs, it’s nice to keep it healthy when you can. One of my favorite Classico sauces is the Light Asiago Romano Alfredo. I browsed the Classico website and found this delicious sounding recipe that would be perfect for an appetizer, along with a meal or entertaining guests. It’s a Spicy Chicken Dip. What’s your favorite pasta dish?
Five winners will each receive a coupon for a free jar of Classico Pasta Sauce.
Enter by filling out the easy Rafflecopter form below. Good Luck!

I would like to try the Basil Pesto sauce. It sounds delicious and would really give the dish you use it for some zing.

My favorite is the four cheese al fredo. I actually have a jar in my cupboard. It is only 15 oz compared to the 24 oz red sauce varieities, but I like the al fredo sauces more than the tomato based.

I love the alfredo sauces as well! I noticed the jars were smaller. That’s a bummer but it’s still enough (as long as we don’t add anymore people to our family). lol

Yes! It definitely makes cooking pasta more fun! Plus, it saves on a dish because you will not need to use a colander.
