Love Halloween, I dress up and give out candy, usually a witch. We’ve been doing that for years, while my husband takes the kids out trick or treating.

I love decorating the interior & exterior of my home for holidays, and find Halloween decorating especially fun! I also enjoy watching my kids get dressed up in their costumes, even now that they are “tweens”. This year they will be going trick-or-treating with a group of their friends, and have decided to “create” their own costumes. It will be interestingly different to see what they come up with, as well as, refreshingly inexpensive!

We take our kids each year and hope to for as many years as we can. We go as a family, it’s something we strongly impress upon the kids – that these occasions are opportunities for the family to spend time together, and that we want to keep it that way until no longer necessary.

Halloween is our favorite holiday. My mom was the life of the party when it came to Halloween. Shy all year, Halloween was the one day she would totally catch everyone off guard with her crazy costumes and acts to go along with them…and she never broke character. She would always have the family in tears laughing hysterically over the outlandish Halloween pranks and acts she would do. Although she is no longer with us today, her antics are still talked about each and every Halloween!
