Recently, I was given the opportunity to throw a Mega Bloks First Builders Party! This was the coolest party opportunity I have received and was very excited. It fit my family perfectly and I was excited to share some good times with others. Our party kit was very generous. We received a Mega Bloks® First Builders™ Play ‘n Go Wagon, a Mega Bloks® First Builders™ Tiny ‘n Tuff Race ‘n Chase Rig, an assortment of ten Mega Bloks® First Builders™ ABC Spell! And 1-2-3 Count, themed games and activities and some easy-to-make recipes. 

I got together some family and friends for a barbecue on a beautiful Saturday. I was able to capture some great pictures; however, I really thought I could have snapped a few more. There was a great spread of barbecue food that I completely forgot to take a picture of. Although I did manage to grab a picture of the snack table (but not before it was already found).

Before the party, I attempted to make Jell-O Mega Blok Jigglers. It was quite an experience and you can read all about my amazing Jell-O Mega Blok Jigglers in my earlier post.

We used two of the bags of Mega Bloks to open up and play with during the party. I wanted to be sure every child made it home with a complete bag of blocks to play with at a later time. We used those Mega Bloks to play some fun learning alphabet and number games. Most of the children were pre-school aged so we had to keep it simple. 

In the beginning, the kids were a little shy to one another. They were still polite and shared. It was cute because they were just all off in their own direction. We had a couple playing with the Play ‘n Go Wagon and some tractors. The Play ‘n Go Wagon has a huge bin where you can store your Mega Bloks, transport them and unload them. There is a removable building platform that can be used to build on (as shown in the picture above). It also comes with 25 Mega Bloks! 

There were others playing with the Tiny ‘n Tuff Race ‘n Chase Rig. He was pretty excited to be able to have that. What an awesome addition to the party! The Rig came with two smaller cars (seen in the picture above) that come apart in three pieces. You can then build upon them if you like. You can store toys inside the Rig for safe keeping. The Rig itself has a handle to carry it around with. When you flip the handle, the rig transforms into a ramp. It also comes with 24 Mega Bloks.  

The kids really enjoyed playing with all the fun Mega Blok toys and the games. The parents had a pretty good time too. It was a relaxing day for everyone. We all got to spend quality time playing with our children and having some much needed adult conversation while the kids played with Mega Bloks. 

 It didn’t take long for them to warm up to each other and start playing together with the Mega Blok toys. I’m not sure that they were ever all in the same place at the same time… kids will be kids. What matters is they all had a really great time and I’m sure they will want to come to our next party!

Of course, even when they found other things to do, the kids were still having a great time. This little guy was all over the place with excitement. I was barely able to grab a picture. I had to include this one though – it was too cute not to. 

These two cuties are mine. They were enjoying the last days of summer during the barbecue. They have played with their Mega Bloks and the Play ‘n Go Wagon just about every single day since the party. 

Overall, I think the party was a success. The kids (and parents) really enjoyed the Mega Blok products. I’m sure they will all use their coupons and save some money this Holiday season when they do their Christmas shopping. I’m planning to add a few more Mega Blok products to our collection.
