I had the opportunity to review some of Mia Mariu’s products. I tried to choose products that I would not normally buy myself or that I don’t try new brands of. I’m pretty stuck on my current brand of foundation and eye shadow. So I chose those. Also, I have been wanting some eye makeup remover (because the wipes get expensive) so I chose some of that as well.
With the foundation, I chose the Perfecting Finish Mineral Liquid Foundation in Vanilla. I always have to get the lightest of colors because of my fair skin. I have an oily complexion and it was important to me that it is oil free. It was very smooth and went on nicely. It left my skin feeling soft and refreshed. My skin remained soft and smooth looking throughout the day.
Many years ago, I used to buy a foundation where you would just screw off the top and basically pour some out. I love foundations that have mess free containers. The Mia Mariu foundation had a pump and I thought this was definitely worth mentioning. It’s very mess free and user friendly. One thing that bothers my about some foundations is the smell. This foundation seems odorless and I was very happy about that.
I’m very subtle when it comes to eye shadows. I have never had the talents to create fancy eyes; therefore, I keep it simple. I usually stick with browns and purples. I chose the Eye Shadow Duo in Luna de Miel. It looked more purple on the website; however, after receiving it, the colors are more beautiful in person. Pictures don’t do it justice. I love how it shimmers. This is very nice eye shadow. Usually, I don’t use the little applicator brushes eye shadows come with because they tend to be rough, hard and feel like they are ripping at your eyelids. Not this one. It was very smooth, soft and felt nice while applying the shadow to my eyes.
When it comes to removing my makeup, I use makeup removing wipes – even on my eyes. I have been wanting to buy some eye makeup remover for quite some time now; however, being a mom, I hardly ever think of myself while I’m in the store. So when I saw the Gentle Eye Makeup Remover, I was all over that. It’s oil free and non irritating. It also helps tone, soothe, cool and hydrate the delicate skin around your eyes. There is also an anti-inflammatory ingredient so you don’t have to worry about it irritating your eyes. It removes waterproof and non-waterproof, as well. It felt better to use this eye makeup remover than my wipes. I was tempted to use it on my entire face – but I didn’t. Did I mention there is no smell? I’m telling you the smells of things are a deal breaker. Just as the other products I received, this remover is odorless!

I would like to try the Loose Powder Foundation because I’ve recently started using mineral makeup & I am AMAZED at the difference. It looks so natural, yet so flawless! I’m interested in trying other brands. Right now i user PUR Minerals
