Pourty was created out of frustration with other conventional potty chairs. With the conventional potty, you have to pour the waste out of the bowl. Doing so usually means the waste is running down the potty where your child is sitting and splashing on to the toilet you are disposing of it in. Pourty is the solution to that problem.
With the Pourty potty, you are pouring the waste through a duct on the back of the potty, away from where your child sits or touches and with no messy splashes or dribbles. You can easily clean the Pourty potty with water and dumping it out of the back again. The Pourty potty is just one piece. That makes it very hygienic because there are no small cracks or areas where germs can fester.
My son loved the Pourty potty. It sits higher than his regular potty. It also has a wider seat so it seems more comfortable. As I’m potty training a boy, it’s nice that the splash guard is higher than usual to prevent splashes of urine from going everywhere. The back of the potty even is somewhat higher and shaped for your child to have the ability to lean back a bit.
As a mom, one of my favorite features was that it is one simple piece. If you are traveling or going to family/friend’s house for a few hours, it’s easy to grab and take it with you. If we were to do that with his conventional potty, it might be slightly awkward walking in with such a contraption. My little guy is my third child that I have potty trained. I have used a handful of different potties and the Pourty is definitely one of my favorites! Also, it comes in four stylish colors: white, purple, blue and pink! You can find Pourty on Amazon!
