Everyone has those days where you just don’t feel like cooking but you know it has to be done. People need to eat. Then when you find something easy, it’s usually not what you were hoping for. Campbell’s Skillet Sauces are an amazing solution for quick and easy meals. Even if you worked all day long and have to come home to host a dinner, these are perfect!
Campbell’s Skillet Sauces come in six different flavors including Thai Green Curry (with lemongrass and basil), Marsala (with mushrooms and garlic), Creamy Chipotle (with roasted corn and black beans), Scampi (with white wine and garlic), Fire Roasted Tomato (with red bell peppers and chile) and Toasted Sesame (with garlic and ginger). Each packet is enough to prepare dinner for two and then a little more.
Seriously, the steps are so simple. This meal took very little effort; however, you would never know from the taste of it. You simply heat some oil, add your protein and stir in the sauce. It is as simple as that. I took the above picture to show you just how simple it truly is (not that you wouldn’t have taken my word for it).
For this post, we tried the Toasted Sesame with Garlic and Ginger. At first, I was a little weary because I don’t generally cook with ginger… we’ll get to that later. I began by heating the oil then adding my chicken.
When my chicken was done cooking, I stirred in the packet of Campbell’s Skillet Sauce. Before throwing the package away, I dabbed a little on my finger to taste and knew we were in for a treat! The smell made me more hungry and I could not wait to eat! My hubby prefers rice and I prefer noodles. So we decided to mix the two together and serve it with the chicken. I’m not sure if it’s "normal" to mix the two but we do it and like it. If you haven’t done it, you should try it. We use ramen-like noodles and minute rice. It makes everything easier.
At first, we served the chicken as is over the rice and noodle mix. It was delicious. I might have been able to eat all the chicken myself but I had to share.
Then we thought about the crunchy chow mein noodles that we love. So we added those. It was amazing. I like a little crunch in my food sometimes. Even adding some vegetables in the rice and noodle mixture would have been good. There are so many possibilities when using Campbell’s Skillet Sauces.
