Plan a Trip to Chicago with Gogobot!

Next summer we are planning to take a trip. We have been seriously thinking about going to Chicago. Being from California, that is a pretty far trip. We have never been that far as a family before. We usually take small road trips right here in Northern California. So planning this should be fun! Visiting gogobot‘s website is where I started to plan a trip to Chicago. It’s a great website that allows you to easily plan a vacation.

For me, one of the most important things about a vacation is where you stay. There were many Chicago Hotels to choose from; however, I’m going to pretend I can afford the best for this trip. My reality plans will probably vary. The Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago seems luxurious enough. The beds come with pillowtop mattresses! The bathrooms feature separate bathtubs and showers which is perfect for two people getting ready at once. There are also cribs available, if needed. I love that they are family friendly (and that all rooms are non-smoking).

You know what they say… breakfast is the most important part of the day. That doesn’t mean it has to be healthy, right? I came across these scrumptious, ooey gooey cinnamon rolls they serve at Ann Sather’s Restaurant. I did see healthier options for breakfast like fruit… but you can eat whatever you want while on vacation, at least that is what I’ve heard anyway. So I want to eat this.

Another important aspect of a vacation is being sure you eat. You don’t want to get famished while you are having all the fun! While looking at different eateries on gogobot, I noticed that pizza must be pretty popular in Chicago. One thing I really liked is the different restaurants are listed in the order of their rankings. So, of course, I want to start at the top of the list because it must be the best! Lou Malneti’s Pizzeria is ranked #1 and my mouth is watering just looking at it! I think this shall definitely be one of our meals.

With all of the delicious indulging we have been doing, we better start having some fun to work off these calories. Again, I love that the attractions are also ranked by popularity. It seems that people are saying you can’t visit Chicago without going to Millennium Park. Rumor has it you can capture some amazing photographs there. The best part? It’s free!

I’m sure you have seen those glass boxes that are tons of stories high you can stand in to enjoy the view. I have seen them, thought about them and almost threw up. When it comes down to it, if I had the chance, I would do it – even if only for a second. Well, I’m in luck because Sears Tower is the #2 ranking attraction in Chicago and they just so happen to have the glass boxes. I can’t even talk about this anymore. I’m scared just thinking about it (for the record, I still want to do it). Would you do it?
