LEGO Brickation Summer event in South Lake Tahoe, CA | win a mini-LEGO prize pack!

LEGO’s are something that I grew up with and I loved to create ‘masterpieces.’ Now I’m a mom and LEGO’s are still around and my kids love them. They let their imaginations go wild and come up with some pretty cool creations themselves. I have always wanted to visit LEGOLAND; however, I have never had the chance.

If you live in the South Lake Tahoe area or are going to be visiting there between July 25 and September 4th, 2012, you can visit the LEGO Brickation Summer event. This is a fun, hands-on experience – you will get to play and build with LEGOS! Even if you have children that are too little for LEGOS, you can visit the DUPLO play zones for some safe fun!

Did I mention this event is FREE! Yes, it’s free. How exciting is that! We have been wanting to go on a mini-vacation. We are only a couple of hours from South Lake Tahoe and this would be a really fun event to attend as a family! If we go, I’ll be sure to take lots of pictures. There will be life-size LEGO models, a race track to challenge each other and you can build as far as your imagination goes! Here are the event details:

Although all opinions and expressions are those of my own, I did receive payment for this post as part of a GigCoin campaign.

  1. Lego was fun – for a while – but then cleaning it up seemed like an eternity. My kids have no lego as of now, but their grandparents have large totes of lego pieces, all colour coordinated. Seriously, large tubs. My wife’s younger brothers were into lego for a whole lot of years and their collection is crazy. I’ve never seen anything like it. and when the kids play with it, they have to sort it by colour when they put it away.

  3. Mary Beth Elderton says:

I have lots of memories, but I have a great bit of news, My band geek, gamer, honor student daughter who was raised on Legos now has the ultimate job–she works in the neighborhood Legos store! Yay! She loves it.

Oh goodness, my favorite LEGO memory is when my daughter and I visited the Lego store in Anaheim, CA (in Downtown Disney). Inside the store was a VERY large dinosaur built using ONLY small LEGO pieces. I was (and still am) amazed by all the detail and craftsmanship put into the LEGO dinosaur. Truly amazing!

  5. Patti Williams says:

Building the Hogwarts Castle with my daughter and son. One of our best Christmas ever.

  6. building space ships out of Legos with my sisters

  7. We were in Chicago last month and visited the lego store there – wow! The “paintings” on one of the outside walls were the most impressive – if you go, make sure to go around the side to see them!
