My All Time Weight Loss Low (Shaklee 180 Month 4 Update)

I don’t even know where to begin. Although I love my Shaklee 180 program, I’m at an ultimate all time low with weight loss. I’m not going to hide behind my positive outlook because it’s hiding behind me right now. I’m overweight. I love food. Food loves me. I’m so busy (and lazy) that it’s hard for me to make the time to exercise. Excuse after excuse after excuse. Hello, my name is Rita and I need help.

I need help
This picture was taken last August by my cousin when I was visiting her in NYC. Although it was my first time having real New York pizza… the picture still disgusts me and I can’t believe I’m posting it.

That’s about where I’m at right now. I’m disgusted with my lack of motivation. I want to be healthy and fit so bad but it seems like a want that is so far away – too far to reach. All my walls are down. I’m sharing exactly how I feel with you today. I seem to put on a front that everything is going fine and I’m just coasting along… that is all wrong. I struggle.

I have low self esteem to an extent. I know I’m pretty. Of course there are things I want to change. I would love straight teeth and perfect vision. Besides those two things, I truly feel I’m a beautiful person – there’s one catch. I feel that I’m a beautiful person who carries around this extra weight that makes me miserable. I’m tired, out of shape and feel crummy most of the time. You know why I feel crummy? Because I’m lazy.

I’m a stay at home / work from home mom. So I’m not on my feet for eight hours a day or running around working outside of the home. I felt better (health-wise) when I did do those things. It’s so easy to fall into the chair at my home desk, get online and do this and that. So when it’s time to be on my feet for a while, I get sore. Sounds pathetic, I know.

Recently, I became a Smooth Fitness ambassador. I felt it would go hand in hand with my Shaklee 180 program. Well, it does. For the first two weeks that I had this amazing treadmill in my living room, I used it every day. Then it went down to about three times a week. This past week, I have used it once. It’s an amazing machine and should be used.

So what is a fat girl with no motivation like me to do??? First, I’m making a plan. I should have done this in the beginning. I’m coming up with a schedule that I will need to stick to. I’m crying inside because I’m just NOW figuring this crap out when I have two months of the Shaklee 180 program left. What is wrong with me? I have the support of an amazing group of women that are doing the program too. I should be taking full advantage of that.

Having my Shaklee shakes is the easy part. I love them. When I do skip one or choose a meal bar, I miss my shake. I genuinely enjoy them. It’s the occasional snacking that gets me. It’s eating what everyone else eats for dinner that is working against me. This month, I did not lose any weight. I did not gain any either. I lost two more inches but I feel like I could do better. I know I can do better. I need a plan. I need goals. I need to get my ass in gear and do this! Here is my plan:

  1. Be more active within the Shaklee 180 blogger community.
  2. Create a schedule and stick with it.
  3. Focus on July and July only.
  4. Do not buy junk at the store.
  5. Drink more water.
  6. Look at skinny pictures more often.
  7. Visit other Shaklee blogger’s posts for inspiration and to provide more support.
  8. Apologize to Sommer for being such a slacker.

To keep me on track with my plan and to reach my goals, I have created a fitness calendar. Keep in mind, this is my first calendar. As long as this works, I hope to create a better one next month.

July Fitness Calendar

So that is my plan. You should join in on my friend, Ghada’s, #BAMFITPHOTOADAY Instagram challenge. She blogs over at Mama Goes BAM – for more info on the challenge, visit her July Fitness Photo-A-Day post. Be sure to follow me on Instagram because I’ll be participating too! I’ll be sharing them via Twitter as well. I look forward to seeing everyone’s photos!

Be sure to check out my vlog update!

This is a sponsored post as part of the Shaklee Corporation blogger program. I have received free products, online support, and incentives for participating. My opinions are my own. *People following the weight-loss portion of the Shaklee 180™ Program can expect to lose 1-2 pounds per week.

  1. I feel you honey! I’m not sure why it’s been so tough on me too. But what matters most is that you realized it now. Give July hell! 🙂

  2. Holly says:

I’m with you on having a machine right here and not using it enough. But rather than be hard on yourself make the changes and stick to them! You’ll do amazing.

  3. Alena says:

I am just now on the program after two months off. Every day for two weeks I have thought “today I am going to work out” and I haven’t. So right now I am going to hit submit, and do a workout to make today count. We are in this together!!

  4. I’m envious you’re organized enough to make a calendar. That’s the 1st step!
We’ve all been in the same position and myself, at least a dozen times during the #shakleeblogger process. Day by day is all you can do ! Keep it up, because even after our 6 months is up, we’re all still in this together !

    • Well, making the calendar wasn’t the hard part. I can make those all day long. Sticking to it will be the challenge. So far, I have stuck to the exercising aspect of it. Nothing else. Really. Consistency is the key and that is something I lack. I’m working on it though.

    • I don’t have a calendar or a schedule and it shows. You’re created some inspiration and motivation in me with it. I’ll stick to it if you will !!!

  5. Girl, you’ve got this! Now that you have a plan, I think you’ll rock it! Believe in yourself, trust that you CAN do this (I know you can!) and it will happen.

Cheering you on from the other side of the country!

    • First off, for some reason, I don’t feel like you are on the other side of the country. Not sure why. lol My plan has been good so far with the exercise but that is all. I have fell off the Instagram wagon and everything else. I hope one day to be more consistent. If I say it enough, maybe I will adapt to it.

  6. You are not a slacker. You my friend and fellow woman/mom are on your own journey to discover yourself and learn about yourself. Only when you are ready will you lose weight and achieve your goals- I am here for you now, then, and whenever! I know you’re ready when I read this post and when you have a set back forgive yourself and move on. I’ve been in your shoes and can relate 100%. You are BEAUTIFUL! You are AMAZING! You can do this and I’m here for you however I can be. I love that you have a plan but don’t say sorry to me or to anyone. Just look in the mirror, tell that gorgeous gal starring back you’re ready, your fabulous, you’re strong and that you can do this..oh and that you love yourself. Love yourself. xoxox

    • You are going to make me need a tissue Sommer! Thank you for your support. I just feel like I’m ready and why couldn’t have this been the case when we started? I’ve always been ready but not “ready, ready.” The next 20 pounds is going to be the hardest. After that, I think I can run with it. I have about 65 pounds to lose total. Changing my ways will be hard but I’m trying. I have declined blueberry pancakes twice in the last few days. That is amazing because I love them.

  7. Awesome work on coming up with a plan. I know writing things down helps me out alot too, but I sometime don’t make the time to do that 🙁 Good luck, random snacking is my enemy too!

    • Thank you! I need to plan everything ahead of time. I tend to wait until the last minute and it never gets done. So far, I’ve done very well with my random snacking this month (even though it’s only been a day). Thanks for stopping by!
