New England Pot Roast Sandwiches | Meal Recipe

 cbiasdiscWith a busy family of five, I’m always looking for quick and easy meals. Now that the kids are back in school, my crockpot can be my best friend. I can put dinner on in the morning, get work done and not have to worry about cooking in the evening. We get tired of having the same things over and over so we started a list of things we tend to try once, like it but never make it again. We seem to forget about them. We will definitely be adding Kraft Recipe Makers to our list. I made the best New England Pot Roast Sandwiches! 

Pot Roast Sandwich Ingredients

It was so simple. The box has all the flavorings necessary and it tells you the ingredients you need right on the back of the box. The steps are very clear and to the point on the back (even I can do it). There are also pictures of the steps for those visual people. So if you need a meal laid out for you, Kraft Recipe Makers is the way to go. As you can see above, the ingredients were simple. They included a beef chuck roast, onion, carrots and potatoes. That’s all. The flavor is in the box! 

Cut Up Veggies for Pot Roast SandwichesFirst, you simply cut up your vegetables. The box says to cut the red potatoes in quarters but I cut them in eighths because they were bigger. I threw the baby carrots inside whole. I cut the onion a little larger that way those of us who do not like them can pick them out. For the record, I ate them and they were delicious. Under all those vegetables is my roast (whole). See, you don’t even have to spend a ton of time preparing anything really.

Kraft Recipe Makers Classic Herb SauceBefore you close it up, you will pour the Classic Herb Simmer Sauce that comes inside of the Kraft Recipe Makers box. This is some amazing flavor here. At first, I was curious to see how this one little bottle of sauce was going to flavor that huge pot of roast. It did wonders! 

Kraft Recipe Makers Pot Roast Ready to CookThis was before I began cooking it. Look at the sauce and all the chunky seasonings. As it simmered, I felt like my food was being infused with flavor. It smelled so good! 

Cover & Cook for 7-8 HoursOnce I had the sauce covering the food, I placed the lid on the crockpot and turned it on low for eight hours. I started it a bit later than I should have so it was torture waiting for it to be done. It smelled so good. By dinnertime, our tummies were rumbling. I stirred it around a couple of times while it was cooking and anxiously waited. 

Ready to Eat Recipe Makers Pot RoastAbout 15 minutes before the New England Pot Roast finishes cooking, I poured the Farmhouse Style Brown Gravy Finishing Sauce on top of the roast. This sauce is also included in the Kraft Recipe Makers box. I gently stirred it around. At this point, I turned the crockpot up to high for the last 15 minutes. I’m pretty sure my hubby and I stood over the crockpot the entire 15 minutes waiting to eat it.

Once the pot roast was finished, I scooped it into some delicious rolls we picked up while shopping. They were amazingly delicious! I could not believe flavor that big came out of a box! The entire family loved it. This is something we will add to our menu.
