Our Money Saving Adventures with Fuel Rewards Network and @MasterCard #FuelFamilyFun #MC

MasterCardDisc

Earlier this Summer, I wrote a post telling you how to save money with the MasterCard and the Fuel Rewards Network. Now I’m writing to tell you about all the money I saved and what I did with it! I have learned so much about the Fuel Rewards Network and that MasterCard is just one of their sponsors.

In a nutshell, all Summer I have been earning rewards by shopping online, going grocery shopping, improving my home and dining out. Plus, by using my MasterCard, I earn even more rewards. With the money we saved, we did some pretty fun stuff this Summer. We had so much fun, I’m sad Summer is over and the kids go back to school.

They will always make the best of wherever we are. We earned fuel rewards be dining out and there happen to be a truck stop connected to the restaurant. There was this fun mural so, naturally, they wanted to be a part of it.

Dom in Shopping Cart Car at Save Mart

Remember how I mentioned that we earned MasterCard Fuel Rewards just for grocery shopping? That’s something we do anyway! Look at this little guy – having a blast shopping at Save Mart! This is the only store we shop at that has these cool little cars on their carts. You would never know that he was napping in the car before this, not wanting to wake up.

In June, I was able to take my daughter to a Big Time Rush Concert. We were able to fuel up at a discounted rate for the trip. We also enjoyed ourselves by indulging in the little extras that make experiences memorable ones. She opted for cotton candy and I got a funnel cake. I also had the most amazing garlic fries while she had chicken strips.

Big Time Rush

Did I mention, during that same concert we got to MEET Big Time Rush?! We met them after we sat in on their sound check, before the concert. My daughter is a huge fan and this was like a dream come true for her. She even got two hugs by her favorite member, Kendall. I wasn’t too familiar with Big Time Rush but after going to the concert, I like them now too.

Bri and Dom Swimming in their PoolWe were able to splurge a little bit and buy the kids a pool for the backyard. It wasn’t anything extravagant but they have been having a blast the whole summer! It was four feet tall and that is high enough to swim around for them. We got a steal of a deal and paid $119 for it. Well worth it!

July CircusGattiIn July, we took the kids to Circusgatti. It was a traveling outdoor circus that came to town for a day. It took place only a block away so we were able to walk. We let the kids get an icee which were $10 each because the cups lit up at the bottom. The cup no lights up but we won’t talk about that.

Dom on Airplane at Six FlagsIn August, we took a trip to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. It was so much fun! I think my three year old rode on these airplanes and the helicopters a hundred times. Him and I spent about half the day together while the other kids went with Dad to ride the big coasters (they’re not my thing so I didn’t mind). We had so much fun!

Our Family at Six Flags

This was the only picture we got with (almost) all of us in it. The quality isn’t very good and we are kind of cut off but this is my family. I love each and every one of them with every inch of my heart. This was such a great trip for us as the Summer comes to an end. This was a monumental family trip considering my oldest son will be 18 in only two months. Sure, he’ll still be a part of our family but, as a mother, it’s sad. He’s my baby and he won’t be ‘obligated’ to attend these trips like he is now. With that said, let’s hope he makes the right decisions. I look forward to many more mini vacations with ALL them.

Six Flags is a couple hours away. We were sure to fuel up at participating fuel stations during our travels to save even more money. I plan to continue using my MasterCard and the Fuel Rewards program throughout the entire year. We have some upcoming travels planned so saving money of fuel will be great!

If you haven’t already, you should definitely sign up for Fuel Rewards Network and link your MasterCard. You have absolutely nothing to lose and so much to gain – including money in your pocket! Be sure to follow MasterCard on Twitter and like them on Facebook to stay up on the latest news and promotions.

    • Our summer has been jammed pack! We had a great time. I’m sad now that it’s time to start school up again. I’ll be lonely. On the other hand, I’ll get a lot more work done. Thanks for stopping by.
