Staying healthy is super important and doesn’t come naturally to some people. I’m on of those people. It takes a lot of hard work and commitment to get healthy, stay fit and maintain that lifestyle. I tend to lose focus more than I hope. There are some key changes that I am making in my life to find my healthy balance. I’m starting simple and, in the end, I will reach the sky. Some of the changes I’m making include:

  • Eating Healthy – I’m human so not everything is coming out of my garden; however, I am paying attention to nutrition labels when I grocery shop. For example, rather than grease saturated chips, I bought baked cracker chips that have about 120 calories in 27 chips. 
  • Portion Control – This is hard. When you are eating something good, you want a lot of it and you don’t want to stop. There is always that second hamburger or piece of garlic bread. Fix your plate right the first time and commit to being done after that. 
  • Snack Smart – For me, this falls hand in hand with portion control. If I don’t ‘eat enough’ during my meal, I want more. So I will wait a bit then have a handful of almonds or a yogurt. This is a lot better than a snack cake or something else 
  • Drink Water – Drink lots of water. This is something I struggle with on some days. I will have my morning coffee and then get so busy, I forget to drink water. Shoot, sometimes I forget to eat! 
  • Limit bad habits – Let’s face it, we all have bad habits. Whether you love Pepsi or jelly filled donuts. For me, I love Diet Coke. I bought a 12 pack and started with one a week. I still have the same 12 pack. I haven’t had one in about two weeks (maybe longer). I notice the longer I go without it, the worse it makes me feel when I actually drink it. 
  • Exercise – I don’t do this enough. This is something I will be changing. I’m active but not as active as I want to be. With exercise, you will burn those extra calories, get your blood flowing and feel better in general. 
  • Supplement Intake – Be aware of your body and what it could be lacking. I have a high Vitamin D deficiency. Do I take a supplement? No. Should I? Yes. I’m always watching out for the family’s fiber intake because that can really mess with your digestive system.

    After years of suffering from frequent BV and yeast infections I finally decided to go to a GYN. Right off the bat, she suggested I try Provella. I was a little hesitant because of the price. But at this point I was willing to try anything. I’ve taken probiotics in the past, hoping it would help with the BV and yeast, but none worked. This product is specifically for women’s vaginal health. Which is why it’s so effective.     I’ve tried pro-biotics in the past but don’t take them right now. I like them, but they are kind of expensive.
