You Have to Move It in order to Lose It!

First off, be on the look out for some giveaways posting soon! There will be one in particular that you Mamavation ladies will love – I’ll keep you posted! Help me! One thing you must know about me is I’m a HUGE procrastinator. Trust me, if you only knew, you’d be impressed with my consistency thus far of posting my Mamavation Monday posts! So that is where the Move It & Lose It challenge comes in.

Here I am, floating along. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not eating out or drinking soda or anything like that. I did have a small piece of cake at a wedding this weekend. I’m just not moving it! I’m not even pissed at my scale – I’m pissed at ME! I just want to say a big thank you for the honor of being Sista of the Week. This means a lot to me. I’ll be honest, when Lori (@gutimom) first DM’d me for my email address I was thinking, ‘what could this be about?’ What did I do now? Or is is what I’m not doing? Then I checked my email and was excited and surprised.

After my car got stolen, I was major MIA on Twitter. Then when I was on Twitter I was tweeting about my car and all those issues. To be chosen as Sista of the Week showed me that the Sistahood of Mamavation provides support through whatever life puts in our way. Thank you for being concerned and supportive through all that mess. Unfortunately, we are still dealing with electrical issues caused by the thieves. It’s still drivable but we have to use our brights at night and have no blinkers 🙁

I’ve been going crazy trying to find my pedometer in this house all week. Finally, I came to the conclusion that I had put it in the cup holder of my car and it was taken when it got stolen. Yeah, then we went to my mom’s yesterday. I was telling her how frustrated I was that I couldn’t find it and that we couldn’t just go out and buy a new one right now. Then she asked me what it was – she had found it! I left it at her house last week! So I’m happy about that now.

Like I said above, I’m pissed at myself this week for allowing a weight gain. I feel like I’ve been stuck between 109 and 113 forever now. Will it ever go down? I keep wondering. I would love to make it under 200 asap. For the sake of the Move It and Lose It challenge, I’d love to make it way under 200! Can I do it? Sure I can. Will I? I sure hope so. I get discouraged and tend to have days where I just don’t think about what I should be doing. It’s annoying and I’m tired of it. I started my Mamavation Monday posts on May 3, 2010. At first, I never posted my weight. It fluctuated at that time between 212 and 215. I’d say I was 215 point something. We’ll just go with 215. My first weigh in was posted on May 28th and was 211. Now it’s more! Ugh! In my defense, it is my T.O.M this week… but still!

LAST WEEK’s Weigh-In

THIS WEEK’s Weigh-In

That is a GAIN of 1.4 pounds! Not too happy about that!

Start of Mamavation: 215

Today: 212.2

TOTAL WEIGHT CHANGE: – 2.8 pounds

I know I’m not doing everything I can or should. I’m just floating along thinking I can all of a sudden lose a million pounds in a week – not literally. Anyway, help me! I’m tired of bouncing back and forth. I want to go down and maintain a consistent weight loss week after week. This week’s blogging carnival is sponsored by Katy Bowman and her Aligned and Well series. After checking out her site, I’m definitely interested in hearing more on Mamavation TV tonight and hopefully winning her series!

I hope all you ladies that went had lots of fun at #BobNOLA and I hope to read about it when I make my rounds on your posts. I now remember why I like to post on Sundays. That way I have today to read posts! Now look at the time. Got to go! Have a great week and I’m hoping for a better one! My goals for this next week are to:

  • Come up with a consistent exercise plan (again)
  • Maintain all my logs I’ve created (again)
  • Make it down to 210!
